Winter over night oats

These babies only take minutes to prepare just before bed! Meaning in the morning you have more time for YOU and to have allowed the soaking process to do its magic. Win win. Its like a gift from you to you, waking up to find breakky made! woo hoo!

 

Over night oats:

1 cup organic rolled oats (gluten free if you can but is slightly more expensive)

1 cup of your chosen milk I like to use coconut

(If you like it to be a mix of the chia pud and oats add a tbsp of chia seeds)

You can also add 1 cup of berries and a handful of chopped nuts (sometimes I add this in the morning)

Mix in bowl or jar that you plan to eat out of and leave in refrigerator overnight!

As it is winter here in Australia I have been heating this up in the morning once soaked over night in a saucepan and then adding medjool dates, peanut butter and cinnamon. If I havent added some sort of fruit I will add now such as berries or a banana mashed up. I also LOVE to stew apples and add these in makes it super creamy and the combo of apple and cinnamon takes me back to childhood.

 

Chia Pudding:

Coconut milk (or almond) as base fill bowl or jar about half way and then add 2-3 tbsp chia seeds. Stir and allow to soak over night or for a few hours. Mix with berries, home made granola or any toppings of your choice and relax with a book for breakky (oh and feel that gut smiling from those chia seeds)

Once again I go by feel more than recipes so apologies for the funny amounts of things oops
